Up to 80% of patients with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma present with osteolytic lesions and bone disease. These patients are at high risk of skeletal related events, including pathological fractures, spinal cord compression, and need for surgical or radiotherapy. Skeletal-related events
substantially add to multiple myeloma’s disease burden and patient symptoms. This review focuses on imaging techniques and management of myeloma.
